Who’s a search engine optimization specialist?

Before we discuss what a search engine optimization specialist does, let’s first understand what is search engine optimization (SEO).

SEO is an acronym for “search engine optimization.” simply explained, it means the technology behind the scope of improving your site, online awareness, or to increase its visibility when people search for products or services related to your business in major search engines like Google, Bing , etc. The better the visibility your website pages in search results, the more likely you are to gain traction and attract prospective and existing customers to your business.

Most search engine optimization specialists already know this but what new strategy should you employ?

The major step to getting and utilizing viable keywords is to use all the tools and time available to find the keywords that have been exceptionally effective over time. I say this because most search engine optimization specialists don’t even know that to get the best keywords, you will have to compare the performance of the keywords with different phrases (long-tail keyword) over a period of say 3 years. Doing this comparison will help determine the viability of that keyword. search engine optimization specialists will also need to utilize tools like Google trends to research keywords that has the potential of ranking high on search engines in few years to come and start incorporating that in their sales copy.

  1. Use the right keyword for the right time/season:

Using the right keyword at the right time cannot be over-emphasized. As a search engine optimization specialist myself, I have implemented some keywords that drove great result earlier in the year and then in July 2021, the keywords are barely yielding any result.

The important message here is that, search engine optimization specialists must be discerning enough to understand the times/seasons and utilize the right keyword that will be applicable for that time/season.

Another important tip a search engine optimization specialist must consider is that even though you are trying to get the best result by targeting potential customers/clients with the right keyword, misusing a keyword will invalidate all your search engine optimization effort. Don’t use the keyword you have consistently used for one sales copy or on a web page for a completely unrelated sales copy/web page, while targeting the same audience. This confuses the search engine bot and there by rank you low on both sales copy/web page.

Next, a search engine optimization specialists need to know that in most cases he/she may not be the first to publish a particular page or sales copy. So he/she could look at related platforms that are selling to the same market for content ideas, and even look at the major niche publishers who also has a related content and then proceed to creating something more original and compelling that is unique from that of the competitor. This could mean using the same keywords they are ranking for and create a more compelling content around the keyword.

  1. Do your back-linking right via sales hype:

Who doesn’t need a hype? A search engine optimization specialist that need better result in a short time, must employ the strategy of sales hype and back-linking. This means writing some brand promotion copy e.g. Industry award for the business, business milestone celebration, CEO industry conference appearance, support for educational of entertainment initiatives etc. and distributing this via mainstream news distribution channels or blogs with a backlink to the business website. This is one of the most effective strategy of search engine optimization.
